Madinah Airport: where are you heading?
Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) is Madinah's air gateway, sitting north-east of the city roughly 15 to 20 km from the central area around the Prophet's Mosque. Almost everyone using it needs one of three rides: to a hotel after landing, back to the airport for a flight, or straight on to Makkah or Jeddah. Arriving: what happens after you land
- We follow your flight using the number you send us, so an early or late landing is not your problem.
- Your driver stands in arrivals with a sign bearing your name. No hunting for a cab, no haggling.
- 60 minutes of free waiting start after landing, usually plenty for passport control and baggage.
- Straight to your destination. The run to the Haram area normally takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Departing: when we come for you
We set your hotel pickup time around your departure, leaving a comfortable margin for traffic near the Haram after prayers and in busy seasons. Send us your hotel name and flight time and we will suggest when to leave. You pay the driver once you reach the airport.

Going from the airport straight to Makkah
Some pilgrims start in Madinah and continue to Makkah; others land at MED and want to reach Makkah the same day. The drive is about 450 km and takes roughly 4.5 to 5 hours. If you are heading to Makkah for Umrah, the miqat for this direction is Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali) on the way out of Madinah, and your driver can stop there. To any hotel in Madinah the fare is 100 SAR by sedan, 200 SAR by family vehicle and 300 SAR for VIP, for the whole car rather than per passenger.
