From the Prophet's Mosque to Jeddah Airport
Many visitors end their trip in Madinah but hold a return ticket from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. That means a long road journey of roughly 420 km, usually four to four and a half hours before stops. A drive that long deserves a comfortable car, a driver who knows the road and a well-planned departure time.
Fares
| Class | Fare per car |
|---|---|
| Sedan | SAR 450 |
| Family SUV / van | SAR 700 |
| VIP | SAR 1000 |
The fare covers the whole car however many passengers ride within its capacity, includes short prayer or rest stops, and is paid on arrival at the airport with no prepayment. Other routes are in the taxi fares guide.
A Sample Plan for Departure Day
Suppose your international flight leaves in the evening. Your day could look like this:
- Morning: Fajr at the Prophet's Mosque, then breakfast and packing.
- Late morning: check out and set off before or after Dhuhr, as agreed.
- On the road: one or two stops at highway stations for prayer and food.
- Arrival: reach the airport about three hours before departure, as airlines usually advise for international flights.
The simple rule: departure time, minus three hours, minus the drive, minus at least an hour for stops and traffic. Send us your flight time and we will suggest the pickup.
Pickup From Your Hotel
Hotels around the Prophet's Mosque are in the central area, and the pickup spot can vary with the hotel entrance and traffic around the Haram. Send us the hotel name and location; the driver will agree a meeting point with you and help carry your bags to the car.
Heading to Makkah Rather Than the Airport?
If you plan to perform Umrah before flying, it makes more sense to go from Madinah to Makkah first, entering ihram at the Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali) miqat on the way. That journey is covered on the Madinah to Makkah taxi page. From Makkah to the airport afterwards, see Makkah hotels to Jeddah Airport.
How to Book
Send the following to WhatsApp +966551796487: hotel name, flight number and departure time, and the number of passengers, bags and any Zamzam containers. We reply with a confirmation and suggested pickup time, then the driver's details. For trips around the city before you leave, see Madinah taxi.
What Makes a Long Drive Comfortable
- The right class: on a trip of four hours or more, space matters, so do not squeeze five people into a sedan.
- A small hand bag: keep water, medicine, a charger and travel documents in it so you never need to open the big cases.
- A meal before leaving: it reduces the need for a long stop on the way.
- Tell the driver your needs: if someone will need more frequent stops, say so at the start.
Compared With a Domestic Flight
You might ask why not fly from Madinah's airport instead. If your international flight leaves from Jeddah, an extra domestic leg means two rounds of airport procedures, waiting and baggage weighing. A private car takes you from the hotel door to the departures door with no change, for a single fare per car shared by everyone. The right choice depends on your group size and timing, and we are happy to help you plan either way.
Can we leave overnight to catch a morning flight?
Yes, we run 24/7. Night driving on this road is routine for our drivers, and you can sleep on the way.
How often does the driver stop?
As often as you like. One or two stops are usually enough, and prayer times are always respected.
Does the fare cover all passengers?
Yes, it is per car. Just choose a class that fits your group and luggage.
Can we stop in Jeddah city before the airport?
Yes. Tell us when booking and we will confirm whether the stop affects the fare.
