The Last Leg of Your Umrah Trip
After days near the Grand Mosque, departure day has its own routine: the farewell tawaf, checking out, gathering bags and Zamzam water, and then the road to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Fares are fixed per car, not per passenger, and paid on arrival at the airport. Normal bookings need no prepayment.
When to Book the Pickup
Makkah to the airport is about 100 km, usually an hour to an hour and a quarter, but getting out of the central area around the Haram can take extra time around prayer times and in peak seasons. Our advice:
- Start from your airline's check-in time (typically about three hours before international flights).
- Add the drive plus at least half an hour for traffic.
- If you can, avoid a pickup right after Friday prayer or, in Ramadan, right after Taraweeh.
- Finish your farewell tawaf comfortably before pickup; crowds in the mataf are not always predictable.
Where the Driver Meets You
Hotels near the Haram differ in their entrances and parking, and some roads around the Grand Mosque may close to cars at busy times. So we agree the pickup point in advance: the hotel entrance, its car park, or a nearby spot that is easy to reach. Send your hotel name and location on WhatsApp, and the driver will call as they approach.
Zamzam and Luggage
Most pilgrims fly home with Zamzam containers as well as suitcases. Tell us how many when booking so we choose a car that fits, and check your airline's rules for carrying Zamzam before leaving the hotel.

Elderly Travellers and Special Needs
If you are travelling with elderly parents or someone who uses a wheelchair, tell us when booking. We choose a car that fits a folded chair along with the bags, and the driver agrees a pickup point as close to the hotel door as possible. At the airport, they will drop you at the nearest permitted spot to the departures entrance.
The Right Terminal at Jeddah Airport
King Abdulaziz International has more than one terminal, and your departure terminal may not be the one you arrived at. Check your ticket or airline app and send the terminal with your flight number so the driver goes straight there. It spares you a long walk with luggage inside the airport.
Can I be picked up straight after the farewell tawaf?
Yes. Give us the time you expect to finish with a little margin, and tell the driver if you are running late.
Is the fare the same from every Makkah hotel?
The table shows the fare from Makkah to Jeddah Airport. If your hotel is outside the usual area, we will tell you when we confirm.
