Why some pilgrims fly out of Taif
Not everyone finishing Umrah heads home through Jeddah. Some have a domestic or international flight from Taif, because it is closer to their home city, because the schedules suit them better, or because they want a few cooler days in Taif before leaving. Whatever the reason, you need a car that collects you near Al Masjid Al Haram, climbs up to Taif and drops you at departures with time to spare.

Where the driver collects you
Private cars usually cannot pull up right at the gates of the Haram, so pickup is from your hotel entrance or a nearby permitted point that we agree beforehand. Send us the hotel name; if it sits in an area where stopping is difficult, the driver will arrange the nearest suitable spot with you and call before arriving.
Route and rough timing
Makkah and Taif are about 90 km apart via the Al Hada mountain road, plus the drive from Taif city out to the airport. The road climbs and winds in places, with fine mountain scenery, and the actual time depends on traffic and when you leave Makkah. So set off with plenty of margin, and tell us your departure time so we can suggest when to start.
The fare
A one-way trip from the Haram area to Taif Airport is not on our published fare table, so we confirm the price on WhatsApp according to your vehicle category. The fare is always for the whole car, not per passenger, and you pay on arrival with no prepayment for normal bookings.

Before you leave Makkah
- Return luggage: pilgrims often leave with more bags than they arrived with, such as gifts and Zamzam water, so give us the real count and we will match the vehicle.
- Zamzam water: check the rules of your airline for carrying Zamzam containers before you set off.
- Leave a buffer: the mountain road can get busy in summer and holiday periods, so avoid a last-minute start.
- A pause in Taif: if you want a meal or a quick visit in Taif before the airport, mention it when booking.
Want a few days in Taif before your flight?
Some pilgrims prefer to move up to Taif a day or two before flying, to enjoy the milder weather and visit Al Hada, Al Shafa and the markets. Common questions
Can I be collected right after a particular prayer at the Haram?
Yes. Agree a meeting point near your hotel and a time after the prayer with the driver, allowing for the crowds as worshippers leave.
Do you also run from Taif Airport to Makkah?
Yes. The driver waits in arrivals with your name on a sign, tracks your flight and allows 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
Can a large family fit in one car?
Choose the family category and tell us the number of people and bags so we can check the space, or we will suggest two cars.
Do I pay in advance?
No. For normal bookings you pay on arrival.
