Leaving Madinah without rushing
Many visitors want their last moments in Madinah to be spent at the Prophet's Mosque: one final prayer, a greeting of peace upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, and then back to the hotel for the bags. Those moments are calmer when you know your car is booked and will be at the hotel door on time. Umrah Taxi arranges a private car with a driver from your hotel in the central area, or any Madinah district, to the departures hall at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
Fitting the ride around prayer and your flight
Hotels around the Prophet's Mosque get very busy after each prayer, and leaving the central area at those times can take longer than you'd think. So we suggest:
- Setting the pickup a little after the crowds disperse, not right at the peak.
- Leaving your bags ready in the hotel lobby before you go for your last prayer.
- Arriving at the airport about three hours before an international flight and around two before a domestic one.

How the ride works
- You receive the driver's name and number before pickup.
- The driver comes to the nearest point near your hotel where cars are allowed to stop, and contacts you.
- Your bags and Zamzam containers are loaded with the driver's help.
- You are dropped at the departures entrance and pay the fixed fare on arrival.
Fare
The fare from Madinah hotels to the airport is confirmed on WhatsApp, depending on the hotel location and car class, and is fixed for the whole car, not per passenger. For comparison, the opposite ride from Madinah Airport to a city hotel is listed at SAR 100 by sedan, SAR 200 by family SUV and SAR 300 in VIP. Other routes are in the fare guide.
