Your last day in Madinah, your flight from Jeddah
It is common for Madinah to be the final stop of a trip while the flight home leaves from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. That puts a long road between you and the departures hall, and timing is everything: leave too late and you are rushed at the airport, leave too early and you miss a prayer or hours at Al Masjid an Nabawi you wanted to spend there.
At Umrah Taxi we start from your flight departure time and work backwards: road time, pauses and the time you need at the airport, then we suggest when to collect you from your hotel. All through a single WhatsApp conversation.
Madinah to Jeddah Airport fares (SAR per car)
| Sedan | Family SUV / van | VIP |
|---|---|---|
| 450 | 700 | 1000 |
The fare is fixed for the whole car regardless of how many passengers are inside within its capacity, and you pay on arrival at the airport with no prepayment for normal bookings. For other routes, see the taxi fares guide.
How we work out your pickup time
- Road time: about 420 km, usually 4.5 to 5 hours.
- Pauses: one for prayer and one for a rest are normal over this distance.
- Airport time: international flights need longer for check-in and security than domestic ones.
- A buffer: for traffic on the approaches to Jeddah, especially in busy seasons.
Send us your departure time and flight type and we will suggest the right hour.
Pickup near the Prophet's Mosque
Streets around Al Masjid an Nabawi fill up after prayers, and vehicle access is restricted on some of them. The driver will agree a pickup at your hotel entrance or a nearby point where stopping is allowed, and call before arriving. If you want to pray a particular prayer at the mosque before leaving, set the pickup far enough after it to get clear of the crowds.
Luggage on the way home
Many visitors leave Madinah with more bags than they arrived with: dates, gifts and Zamzam water. Give us the real number when booking, because a sedan may not take the luggage of a whole family on the way back. Check the rules of your airline for checking in Zamzam containers.
Stopping in Makkah before your flight?
If you plan to perform Umrah on the way before flying, that is a different trip: you enter ihram at the Dhul Hulayfah miqat, head to Makkah, and go on to the airport later. See Madinah to Makkah taxi to arrange that route.
Choosing a car for the trip home
- Sedan: one to three travellers with moderate luggage.
- Family: families and plenty of return luggage, the most requested option on this route.
- VIP: for those who want to rest before a long-haul flight.
For a large group we may suggest two cars travelling together. Details are on the fleet page.
